Naturally-based relief from medically diagnosed Irritable Bowel Syndrome is here.
If you suffer from medically diagnosed IBS and gastrointestinal symptoms, you’re probably only too aware of the impact they can have on your digestive system – and your quality of life. IBS affects 1 in 5 people under 50, and over 65% of those are women.
So, at Bod Australia we’ve been investigating new ways to manage the symptoms of medically diagnosed IBS, aiming to support and improve life for a significant section of the population.
We’ve formulated an innovative, soothing and naturally derived remedy, sourced from turmeric – hailed as nature’s wonder food – plus fennel oil, to help alleviate the discomfort and distress of medically diagnosed IBS.
Specifically, the naturally occurring anti-inflammatory properties of curcumin combined with fennel oil, in Enterofytol’s unique recipe, have been clinically proven to help reduce pain, abdominal cramps and bloating. This formula packs a one-two punch in the fight against the symptoms of medically diagnosed IBS. Moreoever, it continues to help maintain your digestive system when it’s functioning normally.
Recently, there has been a lot research activity as well as chatter throughout the media about the amazing properties of turmeric. So much so, that it would easy to dismiss as just another fashionable complementary medicine fad. But science supports that curcumin, the active extract of this wonder plant, has wide-ranging benefits for our health and general wellbeing. These properties are captured in Enterofytol in a premium quality and very easily absorbable form of bio-optimised Curcuma longa.
The dual action of Enterofytol comes from both the fennel and curcumin. Fennel has been known for centuries as the cooling spice, with great benefits for digestion according to Ayurveda. The oil extract has carminative properties – helping to reduce tummy spasms, plus relieving gas, irregular bowel movements and other digestive issues.
Enterofytol: dual action advantages of this unique formula of curcumin and fennel oil
- reduces inflammation
- spasmolytic (reduces muscle spasm)
- relieves bloating & flatulence
- improves irregular bowel movements
By acting on underlying causes
- acts on intestinal flora
- stimulates digestion
- reduces intestinal permeability
- reduces disrupted peristalsis
Studies and clinical trials have supported the efficacy of bio-optimised curcumin, fennel oil, and Enterofytol specifically. Some highlights include…
Increased bioavailability 1
The exceptional solubility of Enterofytol, in a single easy-to-swallow capsule, means that the curcumin is readily bioavailable. This means that the effective ingredients are efficiently absorbed into the bloodstream.
Effects of Enterofytol on functional gastrointestinal symptoms, and quality of life in people with medically diagnosed IBS 2
One month multi-centre, double-blind, randomised, placebo controlled study:
120 participants who rated between 100 and 300 on the IBS Symptom Severity Score questionnaire, & IBS Quality of Life questionnaire.
2×2 capsules of Enterofytol (or placebo) per day over 1 month
- Enterofytol was significantly superior to placebo in reducing functional gastrointestinal symptoms.
- Enterofytol group reported 64% less pain compared to placebo group.
- A significantly higher number of participants in the Enterofytol group had symptom remission, compared to the placebo group.
- Symptom improvement is significantly higher in Enterofytol group at each assessment day (day 10, 20 & 30).
- Enterofytol improved all aspects of quality of life in those with functional gastrointestinal disorders.
- Enterofytol has an excellent safety profile.
Effects of Curcumin on gut health (intestinal flora) and permeability 3
Supplementation with curcumin decreases permeability of the intestinal barrier.
Anitoxidant properties of curcumin 4
Curcumin has been shown to have antioxidant activity (this may help treat the discomfort associated with IBS). In addition, curcumin also inhibits enzymes that promote inflammation and are associated with free radical generation.
